Trail Ninja Posted September 30, 2016 Posted September 30, 2016 For us working guys, I would say ride as much as you can leading up to the event (3 month period) This one is on my bucket listI am training for Tankwa Trek - every weekend after W2W is then a mustIn the week when you can - this is what I did for 2016 Tankwa, it worked well Also, train at the times of your race - go out at race day start time and ride in the heat as wellMajor bonking for those who don no train in the same conditions as the race Thats my take

Would always like to be fitter, faster, thinner, richer etc. It will be interesting to see the new route and how that goes. I am a little disappointed that we arent going over Swartberg or through the Kamanassie. The Dryland guys always put on a good show so I am sure we will have fun. I am surprised that they dont have a main sponsor.
