carbon29er Posted May 5, 2017 Posted May 5, 2017 Gee, without his Oakleys Tosser deluxe. Or is that sheep shagger? My tourettes seems to be triggered by these Sky wankers. Thank goodness I can choose not to watch youtube interviews. Edit: removed the video. Can't make others suffer him.
carbon29er Posted May 5, 2017 Posted May 5, 2017 I'm not sure where the seeding for the Giro comes from, but the favourite should be Vincenzo Nibali. Its his home race, some stages are in his home town, and he will dedicate his win to his long time friend, and ex team mate Michele Scarponi. Honour is a big thing for Sicilians, and will be a determining factor. Any other ideas out there ?Bookies tend to know their stuff. If that is what you mean by seeding.

carbon29er Posted May 5, 2017 Posted May 5, 2017 Don't sit on the fence - tell us what you really think!I wanted to. But I'm happy to sit on zero warning points. Gee whiz it's going to be a hard 3 weeks listening. But I did see a snippet he is against TUEs.

ScottCM Posted May 5, 2017 Posted May 5, 2017 The Giro peloton has been flagged away from Alghero's Banchina Ammiraglio Millelire, and is soft-pedalling its way towards kilometre zero.
ScottCM Posted May 5, 2017 Posted May 5, 2017 There was a minute of silence in memory of the late Michele Scarponi at the start in Alghero. The eight Astana riders in the race stood at the head of the peloton as the Giro paid tribute to Scarponi. The Astana team then led the gruppo on its way out of Alghero.
carbon29er Posted May 5, 2017 Posted May 5, 2017 Nice touch. The 8 Astana riders rolled first. https://twitter.com/giroditalia/status/860439541005651968/video/1
ScottCM Posted May 5, 2017 Posted May 5, 2017 The flag has dropped and the 100th edition of the Giro d'Italia is officially underway.

carbon29er Posted May 5, 2017 Posted May 5, 2017 Would it really be that hard for them to broadcast the extra 40 minutes from the off of today's stage live?
ScottCM Posted May 5, 2017 Posted May 5, 2017 7km in today's stage and a small group has now eked out a decent advantage over the peloton and this could very well be our early break.
ScottCM Posted May 5, 2017 Posted May 5, 2017 Mirco Maestri (Bardiani-CSF), Cesare Benedetti (Bora-Hansgrohe), Marcin Bialoblocki (CCC Sprandi Polkowice), Pavel Brutt (Gazprom-Rusvelo), Daniel Teklehaimanot (Dimension Data) and Eugert Zhupa (Wilier Selle Italia) already have a lead of 1:20 over the peloton. Bet Daniel Teklehaimanot (Dimension Data) to take the KOM jersey tonight
