I'm always quick to moan about the R30 day license thet we are charged in small local events (because I'm not a regular racer, I'm not a member), but this could change things.

Does anyone know if it cover day license holders? And does it only cover you if you are part of a CSA event? Or any riding, anywhere?

Thanks

If you have a CSA membership, the insurance should cover it whether k2c was sanctioned or not

Day licence DOES NOT get insurance. Only full membership paying the R120.

It is irrelevant if an event is sanctioned or not, if you crash while riding your bike you can claim for medical expenses.

And the Rob 'n Pete show changes focus   :whistling:

Hi Tim, Once upon at time your humor would crack me up - is this seriously the best you can come up for now. I know you went to a "good" school surely you can do  better than this?

I have been going on on the conditions of the roads for a while now not to mention the new badly designed bicycle path on Kendal road and the badly laid cycle path on Firgrove way. Maybe spend some of you time writing to council on this - I have done it (along with meeting Andrew W who met with council) but possible more cyclist who complain the more likely we will get a positive result.

Please take it elsewhere, guys......

Thanks for letting me know!  The CSA membership issue for certain races has put me off entering them in the past, but I didn't know about this previously.  It's a bit of a no brainer really.

One of our members at Cadence Tyger Valley had a crash few months back out on a training ride in Cape Town. Broken wrist. Medical aid covered operation etc. CSA/Hollard paid out R20 000 in full under medical assistance benefit.

Paying your yearly CSA membership is a no brainer.
