Braamfontein Spruit Trail

Video of yesterday's ride on the Braamfontein Spruit Trail. Started from Witkoppen Rd, Paulshof and headed to Emmerentia dam and returned the same way.

Unfortunately on our way back MikeB had a "freak" off on the section marked "10s Mike". Mike was directly behind me, so I did not see the fall or have it on video. We were four riders, including Mike. A very good samaritan stopped (Croatian guy, even help us get Mike and his bike to Jan Smuts Ave to meet the ambulance) he phoned an ambulance while we attended to Mike as he was out stone-cold for at least two minutes. Netcare was there in under five minutes. Mike asked every 10s what happened and had us worried as he had a bad concussion and a shattered left wrist with some cuts and bruises on the left of his face and ear. Medics gave him morphine for the pain. Mike was taken to Sunninghill Hospital and a CT scan was taken, fortunately no signs of bleeding or anything of great concern. They operated on the wrist last night and everything went okay and will possibly be released later today or tomorrow. Mike's first question was if his bike is okay after showing him the video where he fell and he snapped out of "10s Mike", slowly starting to remember what happened.

Bob must be careful he doesnt poke his eye out with them pins, he doesnt have good luck.

Road bikes are dangerous, they cause him to lose his MTB skills and fall on the spruit.

I think he should stay on the IDT for a while and practice...
