Bicycle rental

Hi Guys,

 

Firstly Happy Friday!

 

Secondly I am contemplating whether it is worth buying a road bike (MTB only this far). So I wanted to see if anybody know where one can rent a road bike from to try it out at 94.7. Think it is better to do this than simply going out to buy one without knowing whether one likes it. Any places that anybody knows of pls? tx

not good to make changes this late... You will have to get the bike set up for you, do a few rides on it before attempting 95km.

Road riding is great fun.

 

But if you've only ridden MTB you will be in agony after 94.7km. My first road experience was on a borrowed road bike at the CTCT a few years ago and I thought I was going to die. The positioning is VERY different to an MTB so you'll cramp or have severe back, gooch or some or other pain.

 

Rather get some slicks for your Mtb and pump them HARD! Then look to borrow a roadie afterwards to see if you like it.

Try your local bike shop, if not they should know who does.  

 

Fit the bike as best as possible and just go have fun, the vibe will carry you.
