If you stay on the road it shouldn't be a problem.During the week there are a lot of people commuting in the mornings - on weekends myriads of cyclists flocking up and down that hill. Though you shouldn't turn into Blackhill at Pinehaven and go up past the dams - there have been a few incidents lately with mountainbikers and hikers getting mugged.
