Wouldn't quite use the baby's bum analogy. Picked the wrong line halfway in and almost rattled my teeth out...

 

That said, the smaller bunches also helped, afaik everyone in A bunch at least got through without incident.

 

Overall, I agree with MildlyWild, good route, Tiekiedraai & Malanshoogte not climbs we often do in races (I see a number of strava segments fell yesterday...)

 

Feel sorry for the organisers for the low turnout but the smaller bunches definitely made things safer, no one forced across the white lines on the narrow back roads and less testosterone going around than usual.

I will do this again loved the route the different road surface. makes for a more interesting race.
