BB compatibility

Good day fellow hubbers

 

Could someone tell me if one could make a GXP Crank fit into a BB30 bottom bracket? if there some type of an adapter or is this a completely "no can do"?

Hi....yes can be done....you just need the adapters or sleeve fitted for the gxp BB to screw into. ...

Inside of BB30 is 30mm and inside of GXP 24/22 mm at opposite ends. So there is room for adapters that press into your existing BB30 bearings....such as those referred by Spoke101.

 

You can also get a whole alternative BB where you remove the BB30 and fit the new adapter BB in its place. These are from the same company ( Wheels Mfg) but not cheap. I fitted one to a Merida BB30 frame for a friend.
