Routes & Trails in the P-Alfred, Kenton, Kleinemonde area

Could anyone PLEASE help with some info / guidance on trails or routes in the Port Alfred / Kleinemonde / Kenton areas?

 

Any trails, singletrack, bikepark, gravel-grinding - basically, any where to ride?

 

Also, is there ANY safe road riding in that area or is it best avoided?

From Kenton we usually head out on the gravel road towards Horns Up.

 

There is a loop you can do or alternatively to Bathhurst and back.

Apparently there is some stretch of road near Alexandria with a decent shoulder otherwise I wouldnt recommend it in the area

Closer to Grahamstown, maybe a bit far, but just off the R67 Port Alfred Road (+-40km from PA) you'll find the Manley Flats Community Trails. Loops of 15-20km through proper Eastern Cape bushveldt, forest and farmland. R30 for a day permit or R100 for a year! Ideal for MTB or trail running and probably 90% single track.

For road rides in the area contact Lappies at The Cycle Assylum (046 624 8358) in PA. They're organising regular rides probably also beach rides so definitely the go-to for local info.
