Rider Down on Ceder (near timber store)

Came past a rider who had fallen just past the Timber store at the top of the hill on Sunday.

there were plenty of riders around him and a motorbike so i didn't stop.

 

not sure of the circumstances surrounding the fall

but that bit of road has TONS of sand on it

 

anyone know if he is ok?

 

and as a side note, who do we contact to get the piles of sand off the roads?

JRA are responsible for the upkeep of the roads. They seem to fairly on the ball - the clean ups after the rains at some of the low lying areas along Witkoppen get sorted out pretty quickly. But I doubt that they are particularly active over a weekend unless its a emergency - total road blockage etc.

 

Strength to the guy that bailed. Need to stay sharp and focused after a night of heavy rains.
