The owner of my LBS got clipped in the parking area of the Mall.

He is fine, he saw the car coming and the lady clipped his back wheel. His did not sustain any injuries. His bike need a new back wheel.

COULD HAVE BEEN SO MUCH WORSE!!!!

THIS HAS GOT TO STOP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bet the old bat has not been in any accidents, but has seen hundreds. Bet if she did an eye test she would fail.

Lets just accept that a large number of people get in cars and don't accept the fact that when you drive you have to be attentive to what is going on around them.  How we change that, not sure...

But think the stickers, memorial rides, awareness campaigns might at least prevent a few more of these incidents if not all of them

Paarl drivers are the worst I have seen ever. Stayed there for 4 years. Have seen the weirdest incidents. Almost got totaled by an old geezer driving over Main Road from the top while on his cell phone in his big Land Cruiser. Also those traffic circles in Paarl are notorious for odd incidents.

I hope her insurance pays and get the insurance to check if she was on a phone as well.
