Shimano SLX Brake bleed

I'm about to bleed my Shimano brakes & wondering what method is best. From the top down or the bottom up? I don't have the expensive pro kit, just the basic tools, some tubing & 2 syringes. Any assistance appreciated :-)

remember to put your pads faaaar away or when you contaminate them you will have to buy new ones ......

But just take them out , you need to fit the bleed block anyway
