Easy cycling in France

It's not too far actually. There are a number of companies that do organised tours over a week. My plan is to do it over more days with a max of 100km per day. The direct distance is about 800km but taking the quieter roads will probably be a bit longer.

Awesome Idea. Are you going on an organized thing or are you going it alone?

Ideally I'd like a setup where a company takes your luggage to the next town/hotel and gives you a route map/gps and you take your bike and ride that to the next town.

Hi Duane, it's still in the planning stages now. But yes if we go it will be on our own nd not with a tour group. Trying to convince my strife that it's a good idea. She's leaning more towards a climbing trip to Thailand.

Ok. I've seen a few 500 Euro tours where you get to the next hotel under your own power and they take your luggage on to the next town. Just trying to gather as much info as I can.

Looking at doing a trip to Alta Badia next year but transport looks like it might be an issue. Which is one of the reasons I always gravitate back to Morzine. You arrive in Geneva. Get on a shuttle. 45 minutes later you're sucking on a beer and building your bike. And the next time you think about a car is the shuttle back to Geneva.
