ISCG-05 ADAPTER CLAMP

Hey guys,

 

I want to use an MRP2X chain device on my my 2x10 29er. I need ISCG-05 tabs but I don't seem to have any.

 

First Q: If I buy the tabs to fit onto my BB, will it be easy to source a generic one, or will it need to be MRP specific? For example, csixx have two: https://www.csixx.co.za/products/iscg-adapter-clamp.

 

Second Q: Is there an easy way to find out what BB I have to choose the right adapter?

ISCG 05 is a standard fitting, so no - no need to get an MRP adapter to fit an MRP guide. 

 

As far as mounting options go, I can't see if your frame is pressfit or normal external BB, but it should be easy to find out. Take a pic of the BB area and post it, and we will be able to tell you.

From what I can tell its an external cup BB on that frame. like the one below (silver external bottom braket bearking cups)

the clamp adapter from CSIXX in your pic seems to be for press fit BB or for screw in so you will need the one for the BB you have - once confirmed which.

Yes that looks like the one. I'll take some clear shots of the bottom of the crank. Then it should be much clearer.

Great, so will it definitely be one of those two then? (44 or 47mm)

Definitely not a press fIt. It's a screw in. I see the 44mm is out of stock.

Ah just my luck... I had to measure the width of the silver bit based on its circumference. It was somewhere very close to 44mm. I wonder where else I might find an adaptor like this. Let me know if you have any ideas. And thanks for your help!
