Will taking part in this count towards any sort of seeding? Is there a website or something where one can see details regarding the series?

Please remind us what's the format of a Crit race? An hour + 1 lap? Elimination if you are lapped? Are there sprint points at certain parts of the race?

That depends on the venue hosting each event.

 

The Germiston Wheeler events will be 45 mins +1 lap for Elite/U23 and Juniors.

 

30 mins +1 lap for everyone else.

 

Youth (kiddies) will be 10 mins +1 lap.

 

2 age groups ride together (eg. 30+ and 40+) but race for their own "podium", with elimination of lapped riders in the same category.

I recall with fond memories the crit races in the 80's around Zoo Lake, Germiston Lake, Boksburg CBD.

 

Any chance the organisation can include a crit for fixed, track bikes?
