What a great organized race.Did my share of mtb racing and must say this race was one of the best.Warm showers on venue, value for money goodie bag and an extremely well planned route. The goodie bag alone was worth more than the entry fee paid.

FRIENDLY STAFF ALL ROUND.

Great bunch of riders.

This being my first post Im very eager to hear from fellow hubbers if they enjoyed it as much as I did.

Was there, but there could have been more and better markings.

I only did the 30Km and went off the route numerous times.

Riding on the grass was an irritation.

Otherwise it was alright. Prize money was good.

I did the 75km race and enjoyed it a lot. Was tougher than I expected as the grass, sand and loose soil had you working the whole time and never let up. So I was properly tired/broken at the finish, but I enjoyed the challenge.

I missed one marker on route, but luckily realised it quickly enough and when I turned around it was there - I just missed it so I can't blame the organisers. Otherwise it was easy enough to follow - and I was on my own for long periods.

I don't like the fact that people could take any of several shortcuts with no control - except for the podium - but in the end it makes no difference to my time and it says more about somebody who claims a time they didn't actually get.

The staff was very friendly and the venue excellent - especially the craft beers!

Yea well at least I tried to do the 75km. End on 52km... had saved some legs for the last 20 as well. Couldn't believe it when I came to the end. Thought we were going out on a another loop. There was about 20ppl I know of that didn't get the right distance. Ranging from from 46km to 52km. And the doc guys were there as well. And I saw a few of them had done he same sort of distance.

Only 59 ppl did the correct distance .

I can't even think where we went wrong. They have lots to learn . A path cut through a farmers field isn't really a trail .Nothing technical at all.

But any day on the bike is still a good day out...even if it was 2.7 degrees 15km into the race ❄️❄️❄️ .

I thought it was great. Admittedly I haven't done hardly any races but it seemed well organised and I really enjoyed it. Organisers did well for their first race. Nice vibe afterwards. A bit tough as I'm still kind of a newby but I managed it and happy that I'm slowly building up my experience of different races.

So all in all a very positive experience ????
