No plans from Germiston Wheelers to host any events this year. Not sure about the other events (Voortrekkerhoogte and Melrose Arch)

Just got the sms from Moses on the cancellation of the event

 

If I could support it in any other way, I would have.  For interest sake and in ballpark figure terms, how large is the shortfall?

It costs about R10k to run an event without fencing requirements. Online entry fees, medical, toilet hire (if in a remote area), CSA sanctioning, and more.

 

For the Melrose Arch one, I’m guessing upward of R30k.

 

200 entries at R50, and the event breaks even, without a sponsor and minimal prize money.
