Sora R3000

I just saw a review on this groupset. Apart from being 2x9 what other drawbacks can we expect? Apparently it is bullet proof and can go up to a 32 at the back.

It certainly looks the part. I recently put a Sora RD on my girls bike (to accommodate a 32T) and it's been working perfectly, no complaints. However it is paired to Ultegra shifters.

i had SORA on my previous bike which you saw on the one day we rode together ;-)  any how, for R3k i guess it does the job, but i like the 105 a whole lot more.  wouldn't it be cheaper to buy a complete bike once you've sold your mtb?

Sora R3000 is a brilliant groupset, it looks like the newer groups as well.
