Motor Bikers - Cradle MTB trail

Yesterday while doing our normal Cradle route, we observed a group of off road motor bikers tearing up the MTB trail around the Cradle Restaurant side at around 9.15. Those that weren't on the trail were riding in the cycle lane against the flow of the oncoming cyclists. Not sure if anyone else observed the same but just a caution to be safe out there as these lunatics clearly had total disrespect for the cyclists

guys like these cause a lot of issues on trails.

They piss land owners off, next thing land owner denies access to everyone  mtb'ers suffer.

Guys please don't paint offroad bikers all with the same brush.

 

Like with most groups of people it is usually a small percent that ruins it for the rest.

 

A lot of the motocross, enduro and offroad bikers do mtb as well for fitness and would not do this.

 

Chances are these are youths/weekend warriors who don't have the means to transport their bikes to a real riding venue and are taking chances, in which case the land owners might be able to track them down.

 

Did any of the bikes have numbers, and what colour were the numbers and backgrounds?
