Sram Guide RS or Sram Level TL Brakes

I've got the SRAM Guide RS brakes, having changed from the Magura MT6 which came with my bike. I've ridden Shimano XT as well as Formula RX(I think that's what they're called) in the past.

 

The Guide RS is by far the most pleasant experience I have had. They just work. They have excellent modulation, don't overheat and just keep on going.

 

My stage racing partner rides with the Level ultimates. What I have noticed is that I have more control with the guides as they have the dual piston vs single in the levels. He would lock up his brakes much more regularly than I would when things get a bit technical. 

 

If I had to choose again, I would still go with the guides for my riding style.

I have the Guide RSC and they are fantastic.I would imagine the RS would be great as well

Got Slx on my other ride and they are great, can't fault therm. These are to replace previous gen' deore that were just a filler, they were good but just need a bit more power and feel.

 

Did see that the curas were run on the a few bikes in the DH circuit last year from Leogang onwards so they have got to have some poke to them!

We asked them to try a completely new brake on their first run down the hill on the first day of practice. Then we asked them if they loved it or hates it. We left them free to race the new brakes or stay on what they were used to.

Six riders out of six decided to race the Cura brakes after they tested them for the very first time on the first day of practice in Leogang.

They all kept the Cura brakes for the rest of the season. "

Recently bought a bike with SRAM Level TLM brakes.  I've always only used Shimano XT and XTR brakes and want to know how they compare?
