Rear Shock service

Hi,

 

It is time to have my rear shock ( Rock Shox ) serviced.

 

Any advise on who to use in Gauteng ?

 

Preferably East Rand side.

 

Is it better to use someone like RBC for this ?

You have two levels of service.  Most shops will do the air can service in house but if the damper needs to be serviced they will send it to the agent. I know of a few shops that will do the full service (myself, Linden, Cycloworx and a few others but I don't know who on the East Rand will)

I use Finish line. They send it to RS agents in Cape town. 

 

Just had the stanchions replace on my front shock...took a while because there was no stock, but the results were worth the wait.

If you want the gurus then just package it up and send it via Aramex overnight (R99) to Droo and Stoke Suspension here in CT and be happy in the knowledge that it is in great hands.

The sanctions? Sanctions are something we had during apartheid... luckily they have been lifted and we can now import things from the USA and the East like bike parts and stanchions....

Unfortunately (for me that is) this is the better option than the 3 hour round trip from East Rand to my place.
