GoPro Handlebar mount for MTB

Good morning peeps,

 

I need some help with choosing the correct GoPro mount for my MTB.

 

I currently use this mount but it slides down the carbon handlebar (handlebar tapers from thick in middle to thin towards ends) when the going gets bumpy.

 

What mounts can I try which will keep the camera where it is meant to be?

Do you mount it up against the stem? I have the same mount and have never had any issues with it sliding down the bar?

I mount it about 2cm away from the stem. maybe i should try mount it against the stem.

This should work but could be painful if you crash.

I have had the same issues with the mount you are using. I now use one of these:

 

 

The weight is on top of the handlebar, not in front of, so it stays in place well.

I use the same mount but have stuck a short piece of sponge strip that's sticky on the one side onto the handle bar and it helps protect the handlebar too. Also mount it close to the stem.
