We need to respect the immutable laws of cycling protocol, etiquette and decency.  When we don't,  we end up in the anarchistic jungle in which ankle socks, frame mounted pumps and hyrdopacks exist - a brutish and vicious hell.

One-by for road should only be for fixies/singlespeeds.  The ungodly hybrid beasts shown above have no place, and are an abomination.  Its ins the bible.  Somewhere.  Look it up

Could you be a bit more specific [emoji57]

Ok I got it, I guess it'll be ok if I ride with a buff pulled up over my face for now .... The shame my family must face on a daily basis [emoji39]

it's like putting pineapple on pizza.  Can I do it? Sure. Is is tasty? Possibly.  But the REAL question, is Should I, or will I suffer eternal shame, and disgrace generations who have come before me and all future descendants? Oh hell yes!

Aqua Blue are being sponsored and they have team mechanics to change cassettes and chainrings as needed. I see it as purely being a marketing exercise to promote the product. Team bikes are still governed by the weight limit so no matter how light your bike 'could be' it still has to conform to regulations so it means adding weight somewhere else. If SRAM thought it was that great an idea why was it nor rolled out to Red or E-tap?

  thought struck me too. What's the point when they can't reduce bike weight under the rules. Just another idea to get us junkies to change everything on our road bikes again.  :cursing:  And ... we will.

Parts have arrived and fitted. Everything appears to work okay. Need to ride it and see, initial impressions are that it is not bad. Gained some gears with the 54 up front and 36 biggest one at the back. Needed to add 4 links to the chain to get it to work on the 36 at the back. You will see in the close up that I added a derailleur extender to the hanger.

Been using this for a while now and the only feedback that I have is that for this to work properly the derailleur spring needs to be super strong. For Shimano 10 speed you ideally need 9 speed MTB SLX or XT derailleur. If you ride really bumpy roads, the chain does come off the front chain ring with a road derailleur.

On Shimano road derailleurs there is an option to tighten the derailleur spring (check Youtube), I have done it on my road derailleur, so will see how it goes. When funds permit, will upgrade to the MTB derailleur.

I don't know how this leaves the 11 speed conversions, the derailleur may be a problem on these as I don't know which MTB derailleur you can use here.
