Can I use a coil shock instead of air

I am 'moeg for' always pumping up my tandem rear shock to 300psi. It has a rising rate rear shock. Is there a coil spring alternative I can use. I don't mind losing a bit of shock absorption if I have to use a high rate coil.

Well if the stroke and length are the same i don't think you'll have issues

are you looking for A locked out ride or firmer ride ?

You could always just get A blank of HQ alu and drill two holes in it

If you're always having to pump it up, chances are it has a blown seal somewhere and needs a service. I'd recommend that first, before buying a new shock.

And yes, if your suspension is progressive in it's design then a coil shock will work fine. You can get springs up to 650/700lb and higher, but you need to ensure it'll fit. If you have a shock with an eye to eye length lower than 200mm, good luck....
