Fantastic event. Thanks to Wildekrans for putting on a super morning. The 50km was tough, but proper mountain biking, so thoroughly enjoyable. Nice to get a bottle of decent wine and vine-keyring instead of the usual crap 'goodie bag'.

Yes a great ride. I suffered quite a lot because of lost fitness post injury and had to dig deep not to take a green arrow shortcut.

 

Those short sharp climbs certainly take it out of a person. Repeated max efforts ... again and again and again ... not easy.
