My weekly goal seems to be stuck on 1200 which I struggle to attain. I probably only hit the target once a month, but the goal never decreases.

Fantastic event. Thanks to Wildekrans for putting on a super morning. The 50km was tough, but proper mountain biking, so thoroughly enjoyable. Nice to get a bottle of decent wine and vine-keyring instead of the usual crap 'goodie bag'.

Stolen: Specialized Kids HOTROCK 24" 2015 When: 31 December 2016 Where: Hermanus, Western Cape Two (2) idential bikes belonging to my kids were stolen on the afternoon of 31/12/2016 while we were away from the house. The bikes were being kept behind the house in the back yard at a guest house in Hermanus. The sliding gate was lifted of the rail and access gained to the premises. Sadly my 2015 Specialized Epic Elite 29er and my 2 kid's Specialized Hotrock 24" bikes were taken on New Years eve from the back yard of our guest house in Hermanus. Somebody must have seen us coming and going as the bikes were out of sight in the back yard. The sliding gate was lifted off the rail and the bikes taken while we were at the beach. Please can the Hermanus Hubbers keep an eye out for me as I return to the big smoke tomorrow. Feeling sad.

Where can I rent/hire a road bike in Johannesburg? I must have phoned about a dozen bike shops, but nobody knows of such a service. I have an overseas client here in South Africa at the end of November, and he would love to ride the 947 Cycle Challenge and has asked if I can arrange a bike. The problem is that he is 6ft5in and needs a 60+ cm road bike. Does anyone have any suggestions, or know of someone who would be willing to give up their bike for the weekend of the 947?
