PYGA Stage Rear shock choice

So, Im about to buy a PYGA Stage  frame, I have a few choices, Im an out and out XC racer, rather heavy at 90KG, my choice is the 95mm Remote lockout, I will admit to being a remote junky, I just love pressing buttons, and as a roady of many year still believe stiff is fast,or the new standard shock of 116mm or something, with no remote lock out.

Rear suspension has never worried me, But i do love locking out the suspension on flat roads or smooth uphills, upfront i will be running a 120mm Pike

I don't have much advice for the rear shock. But as an out an out XC racer why are going to be using a Pike? Why not an SID or Reba?

its a small comprise for my weight, just come down from 95 Kg, but as a heavy dude, its a bit of luxury to have such a solid fork

I'm surprised they still come with the lockout option, I thought this option was going to be dropped. 

 

If I was you, I'd have a chat with Nico Pfitzenmaier, he knows a great deal about the Stage and XC riding on it (although I think he has now switched brand). 

 

Pike is an absolute beauty, running the 140 on my Max...

You should speak to grant usher at sprocket & jack. Very well versed & extremely knowledgeable in the world of pyga’s,especially the stage & max.
