Certainly cheaper that the Garmin items. It is a top rated ebay seller, but if these things really work like advertised is anybody's guess. Would be interesting to know.

Had a look at these HERE as well a while back. I would have gotten a set if I didn't get some with my 520 shortly after I first saw them. What I really like about these is that there's no difference between a speed and cadence sensor. It's the same thing. I determines what it's being used for based on the direction that it's rotating i.e. horisontal vs vertical, indicated by the colour of the light. Very cool for the price.

Thanks for the responses.

I pulled the trigger on the Magene for $15 delivery included from Aliexpress.

Now hopefully it arrives before CTCT.

Once it is set up i will post some feedback.

Iam still waiting for my bearings and its 6 months later.

Gave up on this useless postal service

Hang in there. I have ordered spare RD hangers and some other goodies months ago, the first of which have now arrived...a brisk 13 weeks after ordering. I use the SAPO page below to just confirm at least that the stuff has landed here, as it somehow makes me feel better than thinking the package is floating somewhere on the ocean, but then the real wait begins

Yes! I collected it today. Packaged in its own box and shipped inside a slightly bigger box. Looking forward to giving it a go this weekend at the Cyclosportif.

The unit shipped with a battery included. On first installation of the battery it was in speed mode, so i took battery out, fitted it again and the cadence mode light flashed.

It immediately paired up with my Bryton 310 under the cadence meter option. So far so good.

I know it is a bit of a necro post...

What is your take on this? Are you still using these? If not, why?

Thanks

Yes, still working perfectly on the MTB and road bike. Haven't had any issues or reason to change them yet. In fact, I have ordered a 3rd one a while back but it is still stuck at Customs.

Perhaps an improvement to my earlier reply:

Durability wise I can say that it has lasted surprisingly well.

On the mtb, I went through a river crossing and completely submerged the unit. Also forgot it on when washing my bike down at no less than 2 events and I was convinced each time that it was toast but it has kept on working. So the seals seem good. The unit hasn't taken many (if any) direct knocks but has been on a fair amount of trails and so far, survived.

Road bike-fitted one has had a much less adventurous life (except for a very wet Stellenbosch Cycle Tour) and is still going strong as well.
