Tacx Trainer Software 4 - is it worth it?

I just bought a Tacx Neo IDT. Up to now I have been using a CycleOps Power Sync with Rouvy software.No complaints about either of those, I just wanted a direct drive IDT. The Tacx Neo comes  with a discount voucher for the Tacx Trainer Software 4 which you then have to order online and download. The software cost is 124 Euro, with the discount applied it comes to 87 Euro, which in Rand is quite a bit. The Tacx  Neo  works fine  with Rouvy. My question is, has anybody out there got the Tacx Trainer Software 4 and is it all worth buying? and will it  do anything that Rouvy will not do?

I stopped using tts4 . I only use zwift and trainer road. TTS4 is nice to do virtual ride now and then .

Forget Rouvy and TSS4. Zwift does it all.imo

Trainerroad if you have the discipline and want to get really fit really quickly. More training options than you can shake a stick at...

 

Zwift if you actually want to enjoy your indoor training. Also has some programs, but nothing like the range of options on TR

 

I find it much easier to get up at 5am to Zwift, though! Social element helps

Tacx software is not the answer. I dtopped using it as it continuously give problems. Converted to Zwift and now enjoy my indoor training. You are more than welcome to contact me to take over my TTS 4 that I received with my trainer if you want to try it

I haven't used the TTS4.  But my understanding is that to make it worthwhile you should also buy some of the various interactive video routes...  So it starts getting pretty expensive.

 

I've used Rouvy.  It works well, but quality of some of the videos are below par.

 

Currently using Zwift - can't fault it.

 

There is a 60 day trial for Sufferfest which I might take up just to see how it holds up...

The thread is inactive for a while now but maybe I have some luck.

 

Im looking for the TTS4 software. Would buy or take over from you if youre not using it anymore. I have an old non smart genius trainer that I bought from a hubber but without the software. The first few months it worked well with the tacx android training app but recently it is giving trouble not picking up a measurement from the trainer. Want to try the pc software to see if it works from there or if updating the firmware on the brake will help.
