Spokes magically breaking. Cpt

Interesting break especially if it snapped while stored.

As for repair, what about Bikemob in Westlake, or Bridge in Diepriver.?

There's also the LifeCycle store in Tokai or Speedy Cycles in Wynnerg.

Took my old wheel out of store over the weekend for the IDT.  After putting the wheel on the bike I noticed that something is not rigth.  On closer inspection I found this:

I suppose many thousands of kilometers and then stored in a fairly cold environment has taken its toll.

Haven't ridden this bike forever and just noticed the spokes are snapping in the middle.

Looking for a good wheel builder near me hopefully not too expensive.

I am based in Bergvliet.

Will appreciate any contacts.

you got a bike next to it with zipps on it, so reckon you know your handle from your bar.

My thinking is that this is just a really old bike, and there could be many reasons why they are now breaking.

* if you just want to ride it, get a second hand pair of entry level wheels - they will be way better than what you currently have on it  - R100 gets you this https://www.bikehub.co.za/classifieds/291025-alex-rims-race-24-wheelset/

(might be issues with freebody size befire you jump in)

*if you want to keep the bike in original condition, go speak to Nils Hansen at Woodstock Cycleworks - he is the guru for bikes of this era and will go out of his way to help you (and your budget).

Went to a shop and they have a new front wheel for R350. Funny enough called a big shop in my area and they want R1 000 for a front wheel, similar type.

He says the rim is old and the braking surface has seen its days.
