XT brake lever leaking at hose connector - help please

I tried to fasten it more, still leaks. Removed it and nothing looks damaged.

 

So thinking of cutting the hose and replacing the olive and insert. Google seems to agree.

 

Where to buy an olive and insert? Would the LBS stock such internals?

Any decent bike shop should have the olive replacement kit.

Yup - that's the right route.

 

The olive can be deformed a few times but once in a blue moon it leaks. New olive and insert and you should be right as rain.

 

Comes as  a set in a little plastic bag - any decent bike shop should have a box of them in store and if not then at the very least a box of them in the workshop.
