Newbie looking for riding partner/s, Brackenfell/Northern Suburbs area

Hey guys.

 

I recently got myself a mountain bike and I am looking for some one/people to ride with and show me the ropes and trails. I live in Brackenfell so Bottelary trails would be preferred but anywhere in the Northern suburbs is also fine. Not wanting to do crazy downhill stuff, more interested in xc and some single track stuff (dependent on what is available here ).

 

I'm very flexible on time during the week and weekends.

 

Keen to meet some new people and ride a bit more.

Bottelary Hills is the obvious answer - in terms of proximity.

 

 

 

Yet we still spend most our time on the Tybergerb MTB club trails ....  No, nothing wrong with Bottelary Hills.  Simply ENJOY the vibe on the Tygerberg trails.

 

 

 

actually heading out shortly to join the Bloemendal night-ride.  Will be our first night ride .....

 

IF you are going to be doing a lot of riding consider buying an annual membership.  Cheaper over the year, AND none of the schlep of getting day permits, AND there are many sections of the Tygerberg trails that are only accessible to members. - http://www.tygerbergmtb.co.za/

He has a group of guys on a whatsapp group you can be added on to help with rides.

I know this post is almost a year old and hopefully you’ve picked up some riding buddies by now. If not, search for Slow Coach on Facebook for group ride information. Riders are predominantly Beginners and Intermediate level. Majority of the rides are on the Tygerberg trails.
