The Hazendal Family Bike Park will open this Saturday, 10 March, at 8 am.

Five sets of two day permits each are on offer on both Saturday and  Sunday this weekend to the first five hubbers who arrive after 8.30 am.  To get the free permits, just take a screenshot of this post and show it to the sales person.

LOCATION AND PARK DETAILS

The park is located on Hazendal farm on the Bottelary road just outside of  Brackenfell.  The park is  family orientated with no technical aspects, but with a variety of track options and features to hone skills.   The park offers the following options;-

Pump track (caters for all types of riders) ;  Flow trail (caters for all types of riders);  Skills trail (children and beginner riders), Kiddies skills trail (riders eight  years and younger), Y-bike trail (kiddies on Y-bikes and balance bikes).

In addition to the bike park there is also a flat 5 km cross country trail consisting of mainly easy-to-ride single track.

PERMIT PRICES

A day permits costs R40 per rider, but to enable parents to ride with their kids or to visit the park more often, a system of buy 2 permits and get one free will be in place.  This will bring the price down to R27 per permit for three riders.

Annual permits will start at R400 per permit for the first 2 permits, but will drop substantially if more than 2 permits are bought - the average price per permit if four permits are bought will be R250 per permit (R1000 for a famlily of four) .  This offer is only available to families, meaning individuals cannot club together to buy annual permits. Permits are valid till 31st December.

OPENING HOURS AND WHERE TO BUY PERMITS

The park opens at 8 am and closes at 5 pm.  Permits can be bought from 8 am at the manor house at Hazendal.

FACILITIES

There is currently no restaurant / coffee shop facilities available due to major  ongoing renovations and upgradings at Hazendal.  As a result of this, visitors will be allowed to bring their own food and drinks to the park as a temporary arrangement. There is a large picnic area with benches and tables where visitors can relax during or after rides, or where parents can wait whilst their kids enjoy the park.
