180x2 = 360L = R1k

180x3 = 540L = R1.5k

180x4 = 720L = R2k, now we talking!Tongue

Well, you still did not buy a bike light for under 1k, you made one. Alot of people here has made one for less.

Please tell more and don't forget the photos ala Brighter-Lights style.

180 lumens is similar to a Sigma Evo X 10w beam.

Yeah, I know its not the same league, but I get arond 35 hours on my Brighter Lights @ 190 lumens.

Speedi15 - listen to me, I have a whole drawer of lights, I like you wanted to save money and buy somehing not to expensive.

But it was really a waste of money, just buy the right thing first time, will work out cheaper in the long run.

Marius, sound advice.

I'm going to mention Brighter Lights again. The oke spend many, many thousands of rands to get the proper parts together. Yes, its fun to build your own, but the bug will bite and you will want to go better and better, and by that time you could have bought a HUGE light and have saved allot of money.

If your current 180 lumens light works for you, stick with it, unless you got the money to experiment, blow LED's, cause battery fires, etc etc, which is exactly what BL has done in the last 2 years. Trial and error costs allot of money in that came.
