I have an Edge 500 GPS. When the 510 came out, I wanted to upgrade as the 510 was Bluetooth compatible and the 500 wasn't - which made it a bit of a pain in uploading your activities from the GPS to Strava: Laptop, Wifi, IExplorer, cable, log in...*sigh*

So I found an OTM device thingy: One end plugs into your cellphone and the other end to GPS via cable. Using a shortcut created on the phone to Garmin connect, it is now easier to upload my activities to Strava.

So my Edge 500 is still good!

My top tip - remember to turn your Garmin device off after you've charged it through your PC! Happened to me once, got to a race, device dead as a dodo. Quite perplexed until I put 2 and 2 together.

Can you send a pic of the cable?

Probably one of these OTG cables. They can be found at a gadget shop or R5-store for not too much.dc923883b007299c9e50d932fc50dc41.jpg
