I'll be happy with a finish not chasing a time this year - my main goal is to run not walk the marathon.

how is the leg?

It's getting there thanks. Last week i had my longest run since July, a wapping 9km    , had to Ice and iceman it every night.

@ndy              #238 I sneaked a sub 11 in 2017 so if I beat that with the extra ascent I'm happy.

How many brick sessions have you guys done?

I have done about 6 or 7 biggest being 140km bike followed by 20km run... It sucked

That's pretty huge. I don't normally do many brick sessions but this time around I have done two every week for the last few weeks. The biggest was this Saturday's 115 km ride and 9 km run.

I was in PE over the weekend. Just for the morning and managed to drive the bike route to try settle some nerves. It will definitely be scenic and the climbs dont look as bad as EL. Hoping to meet some of you of the weekend

I haven't done East London so I cant compare but I rode the same route in reverse last year during the 70.3 and my ascent for the one lap was 1028m. None of the hills near the turning point are extremely steep or long but they sapped away at my energy. Some of the downhill riding was a bit exciting.

Don't know about the new course but the old bike course was like a slow poison especially if the easterly wind blows.

They are longish but I'm sure the killer will be Grass-roof up hill on the second loop.
