Hi

Has anyone installed 3 Prorides on a roof race (Wingbars) and used them successfully?

The 3rd won't be used all the time. Once every 2 months or so and prob not more than 100km round trip.

I am just wondering if it will work or will it be too heavy for the wingbars.

Done it a few times and not a problem at all. You can reverse the middle proride just to help with spacing between handle bars.

It will work. I've got 3 on my Fortuner (for around 4 years) and have used them extensively without any problems. Various bikes including the family's entry level (read heavy) MTBs.

4 bikes easy. Just don’t exceed the vehicles roof rack weight capacity. “Normally” it’s around 60/70 kilos (but don’t assume). Remember to include the weight of the wing bars and racks themselves.

thanks for that.

Did the maths.

Max Car Roof Load = 80kg

Prorides = 15kg for 3 rounded up. (4.2Kg each)

Wingbars & Footpacks = 10Kg rounded up (around 3kg for the bars and 3kg for the footpacks)

so that leaves 55kg's or 18kg's per bike which is more than enough.

Thanks again :)
