CoCT - a job well done/ good news story

Well done to the City of Cape Town.

 

Rightfully they cop a lot of criticism for the obstructed cycling lanes etc, but this is a good news story.

 

On Wed I sent rp.enquiries@capetown.gov.za a request to trim back the branches obstructing the gutter/ inside yellow line on the road up to Constantia Nek from High Constantia. It was a hazard to riders being forced into the road.

To my absolute surprise by yesterday it had all been done and the road is once again safe for riding.

 

To the manager and the team responsible - you sirs have my admiration.

 

Please use the email address if you see a hazard on the road - especially if its used a lot by commuters who dont generally use email.

I know there are some that will say that should be the norm and should not be celebrated. I am not one of those. Think we should rather build up / pull up society than thinking breaking it down will get it to change its direction. so Kudos to you and the team at city.
