Thomas did very well to win after his dreadful start. Tao Geoghegan Hart was also super impressive in his support for Thomas .... even more so as during the Tour of California when he supported Bernal.......he certainly deserves an improved contract at Sky at least.

The question is however who is team of Sky going to support if either Froome or Thomas is dropped/losing time at the TDF? Will some of the team pull back and the rest stay in support thus splitting efforts? Is this the power shift inside Sky that saw Froome become team leader and Wiggens pushed out? Or will Froome still dominate and Thomas wil be relegated to road captain duties instead of leader?

 

Was a good Dauphiné. Some interesting things happened here.

 

Bardet is either not on form yet or just doesn't have the legs still and AG2R will not be waiting for anyone ever (not that they should) - must be a French thing also.

Yates brothers did some training clearly in the off season to up their game.

Martin is hoping to find some additional form as he did not feel great but had a good performance even though the team he is with does not seem to have much support for a GC rider.
