If you are sub 70 kgs, 25c is the sweet spot

If you are above 70 kgs, 28c is better ⚠️

Lol, if only 70kg was even in my vocab. I look like I'm malnourished at 85kg. But... you are right.

I am trying to understanding this roadie thing. If 25m is so much better, why did they invent 23mm tyres. Is like 26" mtb wheels?

 

Back in the day, the standard used to be 19mm tires at 170psi!

i'm following this topic quite a bit... got a disc road bike last year and looking to buy some carbon wheels...

 

what struck me was the massive dimensional differences between the different brands.  UCI regulates the maximum depth, so no surprises there on the ~50mm...  But on the width (internal and external, ENVE's SES 4.5AR model is about 5mm wider on all dimensions compared to all other brands.
