Balooba Posted July 23, 2018 Share Hi all I need to lengthen my brake hose. Got wider handle bars and now the back too short. I can get the 1700mm hose from a fellow hubber at a good price (fittings excluded). What would I need to replace/swop out the 2 cable's? Cheers in advance. David Marshall Posted July 23, 2018 Share The exact parts that you need will depend on the make and model. Basically an olive and barb - and maybe the o'rings for the banjo bolt. If it is a new hose that you are buying it may come complete but again it depends on the brand

BaGearA Posted July 23, 2018 Share Thanks. Shimano hose without any parts.afaik the banjo is crimped on ...and that will have to be done by A hydro/seal company which begs the question why not just buy A new hose
droo Posted July 24, 2018 Share If it's a Shimano brake and the matching hose with the banjo attached you can reuse the compression nut - you'll just need a new barb and olive. If you've got the brake that takes a compression fitting on the caliper end as well you'll need two of each.
