I am looking at cycling from Worcester to Cape Town with some buddies over December / January period.

Can you guys suggest sone routes?

Nothing too intense as it is more of time on the bike and enjoying the ride.

We are all of different fitness levels but will ride at slowest guy's (me) pace.

I don’t know the exact path, but I’m guessing from Worcester go over Du Toits Kloof Pass, then through Paarl & Wellington via R44, turn right towards Durbanville via I thinks it’s the R312 road, make your way to Milnerton & onto the bike path into Cape Town.

Traffic wise I would suggest Worcester - Villiersdorp - Franschoek - Cape Town

Also scenic wise.

One day or more?

I agree with this route.

Where do you want to go in Cape Town? CBD or suburbs?

I'm sure this route is longer? & the added dangers of the 3 Hots Spots currently, which is on Stellenbosch i.e. Helshoogte, Kayamandi & Cloetesville

It is longer but does not go anywhere near any of the hotspots.

It is by FAR more scenic.

Agree on the scenery. So between Franschoek & Cape Town what is your route recommendation?

Worcester to Rawsonville, past Goudini on Slanghoek road, then back of Bianskloof, Wellington Durbanville and Cape Town CBD

Ive done this route before and would definitely recommend it

Thanks guys.

Bainskloof very scary even by car so I like the Villiersdorp option as I didn't think of that one.

Go to love this site [emoji6]

The road to Villiersdorp is narrow and has a lot of cars going fast. On bainskloof the cars cannot go fast, they can max go 50.

Franschoek toward Paarl turn // to N2 to Klapmuts and // to Brackenfell
