Should I, Shouldn't I?

I'm currently on a Merrida HFS3000D which is an awesome frame. I am contemplating going to a carbon frame.

I weigh about 108kg's though' date=' should I, or shouldn't I?

Personally I'm very sceptic about the carbon frames' durability. I saw two broken frames at this year's Epic - both carbon!

Probably broken cuz some yuppy / ex Rugby Player / Celeb bought the most expensive bike he could find or btter yet got on sponcered and has no idee have to ride the damn bikeLOLWink

Why don't you just get a light alu frame like a BMC or Trek and fit it with a nice groupset and those wheels that you mentioned you already have.  It won't be much heavier than a carbon frameThumbs%20Up

My current bike weighs at about 10.8kg.

You might come in a little bit lighter than that, but then again 700/800gr won't make a difference with your body weight
