Hawk 3000 Lumens Bicycle light

In my experience every cheaper brand's 3000lumen lights has been less effective than a quality brand's 1000lumen light in terms of brightness, battery usage, and longevity/quality.

 

These crazy high lumen rated lights don't ever measure up to what they claim, and if they do they just suck your battery dry in matter of minutes.

 

IMO, anything more than 800 lumens is a waste, so I'd rather spend my money on a lower lumen good quality light that will last long; and maybe a 2nd battery if you plan on doing something like 36One or Trans Baviaans.

Can anyone give me feedback on said bicycle light please. I can get it for R1200.00 whereas the Extreme lighting lights are way more expensive.

 

My Extreme lighting 900 lumen light is gone, weg, verdwyn, lost and I need to get a new one.

I did the Trans Baviaans 4 years ago, 17 hours, way too little training and suffered like hell. My Extreme lighting battery held the whole time mostly on the dim setting. Only used the high setting on the faster downhills after Bergplaas.

 

So I know what I had and what worked, maybe I'll just save up some more money.
