Knee doc

Same.  I had a bilateral knee arthoscopy and debriment (removing loose pieces of the meniscus) 2 years ago and I still have to take it slow.  Two or three medium-hard session too close together and inflammation flares up badly.  I am not sure my knees are better than before the operation...    :( .

And it was one of these highly regarded drs mentioned earlier.

Same here. nothing is really better.

I've developed osteochondritis on my tibial spine and had some debriment done on meniscus and I cant really bent the knee more than a certain degree without pain.

Winter months the knees are feeling it, and if you are used to cycle 250km a week and you just cant do it anymore, it can be really depressing.

Might be a good idea to try and find out what caused your problem in the 1st place. If you can resolve it, your knee pain may also go away if you're lucky.

E.g. some of the common reasons for knee pain are bike fit and pedaling big gears.

Does any one know of a good knee doc? Been having some pains on my knee lately

Do you really need an op if I understand correctly or do you want advice from a Docter?

Edit. Missed the previous post. There can be lots of other reasons why your knee can be sore.

I came across this today:

http://prolotherapy.co.za/home.html

"Prolotherapy uses sugar based solutions and various other injectables, which are injected into the ligament or tendon where it attaches to the bone.  This causes a localized inflammation in these weak areas, which then increases the blood supply and flow of nutrients and stimulates the tissue to repair itself."

Seems as if this technique is useful for many sports (and other) injuries.
