Hi Hubbers

I noticed my front wheel was pretty loud when i spun it.

then found some side to side play, very little tho assuming i need new bearings?

The hub caps are kept on by some sort of pressed in clip so i cant inspect them at all or diy the job.

How standard are the bearings for SPEZ HI-low 20mm front hubs?  not finding squat on google.

any idea what bike shops in CT would stock them if it is some standard bearing? Or the bearing man.

Thanks alot

if they work anything like the Hope pro4s it is exactly the same as the 15mm bearing wise. sounds like it in my opinion. The pro4 in 20mm configuration also has the endcaps held in place with those C clips. if you swap it to 15mm all yo do is take the clip out, remove the endcap and insert the 15mm cap that slides into the inder diameter of the bearing with an oring.

So..try looking for it the bearing in any of the hubs configurations....should be the same i think.

EDIT:

hers a link to how the hopes work:

If they're rumbling and there's movement it sounds like it's time.

Probably 6804 or 6904, bring the wheel round and I'll tell you what you're after. If it's 6804 we've always got stock, if it's 6904 we'll have to order cos they don't get used in many things.

Yeah, BMG will have. Just make sure you get here in time to make it down Voortrekker and back in time for us to fit them so you don't have to come back on Monday.
