Fenix 3 HR. Far cheaper than the new 5 and covers everything you need/want and more. And you can wear it to the office unlike some of their other models

Hi what shops still have stock of the Fenix 3HR in Cape Town ?

Thx

David, for the sake of everyone wondering about the mirroring, does it mirror exactly.  I.E., if you have 4 data fields on the 935 screen, there will be 4 on the Edge 130?

Or, if your 935 can do more than one bike profile (which the 130 can't), will those bike profile specific screens reflect on the 130 (I assume so)

And if the 935 can show data fields that the 130 cannot show independently, will it be able to mirror said field

I was actually thinking of this Fenix 5 Edge 130 combo specifically because of this mirroring functions as apposed to getting a Edge 520, as part of my switch from my Polar V800/M450 combo

Thanks

I didn't know this was even a thing, but it seems very promising. I also have questions about how it actually works though.

Is my assumption correct that the 130 is basically just a display, but the watch is still the recording device, so my fenix won't have any trouble recording garmins cycling dynamics even though the 130 can't record such things?

Does it just show exactly what's on your watch face, or can you scroll through the data screens independently of the watch? An example I'm thinking of is having navigation /map on the watch while a the edge shows speed/dist/HR/power etc.

With that, can you scroll through different data screens on the edge unit without touching the watch?

And how long does the battery last on the 130 if you only use it for mirroring?

Thanks

Fenix 3 has been replaced by the Fenix 5 so only devices that will be available are old stock or second hand.

Thanks for the links

I think this is pretty much my perfect solution.

What I do is to set my watch to broadcast HR during activities. You can then link your bike unit to receive this.

My combo is Fenix 5 and Edge 520, my gf Forerunner 235 and Edge 500. Works brilliant and no need to use a HR strap anymore. Does double record though, so I just delete one activity from Strava.
