SRAM crankset wide axle?

Background: I have a Niner RLT steel with a Rival groupset, and a Powertap C1. I would like to mount the C1 on to the Niner. (I'm no longer using the other bike that the C1 was mounted on.)

The C1 requires a crank with a 5 bolt 110 bcd, and without a hidden bolt design. The rival crank that the niner came with unfortunately has a hidden bolt design.

So I'm looking for a crank that I can put on to the niner that is compatible with the C1

This brings me to the crank that the niner came with. The niner has a Press Fit 30 68mm BB, but the crank's axle length is much longer than other road BB30/PF30 cranks. It has a large spacer, and wide bearing journals.

I got hold of a second hand MTB SRAM crankset. It is the correct length of axel, but the bearing journals are to wide apart, so the bearing was lose around the axle on the drive side.

So my questions:

1. Is this the "Wide Axel" version of the crank set? I guess this make sense as the wheel is 142 X 12mm, which I understand is the same width as the 135mm OLD QR wheel,  and this wide axle crank set would be needed to achieve a correct chainline. But I want to be 100% on this.

2. If I can confirm that this is the wide axel version, I would like to get either a S952 or a S902. Does anyone know where one can get these in the wide version? Or are the strictly only available to OEMs?

Sounds like you need a SRAM GXP MTB crank and also the compatible GXP BB.

Sorry think I misunderstood you. It sounds like your power meter is BB30 but your frame requires a GXP crank. I think that you will need a new power meter.

No - the power meter  bolts on to a crank with a 5 bolt 110 bcd interface. Yes I could switch to GPX crank - but I really don't want to have to run adaptors.

It's funny how when you put you question down, you start to find the answers you need.

Based on the info from here: http://forums.roadbikereview.com/sram/s952-crankset-vs-red-force-358767.html  it seems that the S952 is what I need. The S902 apparently has 130mm bcd, so that won't do. Apparently the S952 is the wide version of the S950 and the S902 is the wide version of the S900.

I really like the look of the Force spider, but they don't make it in a wide version.

I spoke to Cape Cycles, the South African SRAM distributor. (It's great to be able to talk to the distributor directly.)

They confirmed this is a wide axle version of the crank. Unfortunately the S-952 is only available to OEM's.
