I shouldn't laugh - I know Avianto and the Cradle well and always enjoyed riding there, but 750m in 44km did make me smile.

2 days ago I did a ride from my house that climbed over 700m in 6km. Now THAT would be a climbers race.

Lol ok, that sounds fun. Where I stay, it is as flat as a pancake, with a airbubble in places,so 700m in 45km is lekker.

I liked Avianto, not sure what route the race takes but I do remember some quite rocky ups and downs and riding between some broken down old houses - all on the same side of the main road as Avianto itself. The other side of the road was more XC fields and stuff.

Enjoy!

Now that was proper and fun. Very nicely organized event, not too big, no bottlenecks on the 50km(43 actual), saw a nasty fall around 35km on a rocky descent, hope the rider with the momsen and 361 shirt are ok, stopped to check if he is ok, and he was. Proper rider etiquette throughout the race, don't know if there was any incidents, saw and experienced nothing bad. Had a good one, big thumbs up.
