Dirkitech Posted January 15, 2019 Share I've been holding out entering the same race, hoping a thread like this would've started a week ago with people saying how amazing it is, but I either missed it or its not too amazing that people want to endorse it? Are you entering Willie? I see there are about 4 races this weekend to choose from.

MudLark Posted January 15, 2019 Share Depends upon what you want. Its really a very rocky trail. Not really what I prefer but it is a challenging ride.
Milkman Posted January 15, 2019 Share I did it last year and really enjoyed it. The 50 is just long and tough enough that you can go pretty hard from the start to the end . The trails are not too technical but also not boring at speed - lekker playful. Edited January 15, 2019 by Milkman Dirkitech
Bonus Posted January 15, 2019 Share I liked Avianto when I rode there. Half on one side on the road and half on the other. Keep an eye on your bike though! Edit: The USN series are usually pretty good races. RocknRolla Posted January 15, 2019 Share Good workout, not a dirt roadie 50kms. The trails are loose and rocky at the moment. Well worth the effort for a rewarding 50kms. Bonus

Anyone aware? I did ask on the FB page.  I was late last year and managed to enter the Saturday morning before the race at the venue .You will have to start in B or probably C batch though . Williepotch Posted January 17, 2019 Share I know we need the rain but I hope its not a mudfest like previous years!
RocknRolla Posted January 18, 2019 Share Well, if it doesn't rain tonight you should be good to go. The general area drains pretty well. Exept for that black stuff on the phambili side. Have not been that side in a long while so cant comment on the state of the trail, or if the reace even goes through there.

The other small stream crossings should be good. Trail was ok last weekend, just some erosion wash making things a bit rockier in places.
